How To Accept God’s Agenda In Your Life

Most of us wake up every morning with some kind of agenda that we want to accomplish. We don’t always hit our
mark, but we do experience small victories over completed projects. Yet because we live in a fallen world, there are many opportunities for our plans to fail miserably.

We may find ourselves questioning God on whether His hand is really over our lives or are we just floating without a sail through the dark waters of life?
The desperation of our situations can cloud the reality of God’s control over our lives. Not just for us as individuals, but for communities of people living in fear of the unexpected or unknown.

Does God know what He’s doing? Of course, yet we must learn the discipline to A-C-C-E-P-T His agenda.

A. Agree that God is in control and
not man

“Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?”(Psalm 113:5-6).

At times the Lord allows kinks in our plans to remind us that we aren’t in control. It upsets our world when friends no longer want to be around us, spouses want divorce, children become prodigals, or our jobs are being located. It’s easy to look at people and accuse them of messing with our agendas.

However, perhaps God is allowing difficulty to get our attention of His master hand at work.

C. Come to trust in Him in spite of
the circumstances around us

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

We may feel overwhelmed at our circumstances. We may doubt that God is really working on our behalf when life feels unpredictable. Yet that’s when God is most at work in our lives. He’s building a relationship of trust with us.
He wants us to say, “I trust You Lord in spite of everything that is going on around me”.

When we trust in God with all our hearts even in difficulty, we begin to understand more of the right directions to take in this life.

C. Confess your weaknesses honestly

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” (2 Cor. 12:9).

Our weaknesses remind us that God is in control. They keep us humbly submitting to Him without having to have our way all the time. When God’s grace shines in and through you in spite of your weakness, it is a testament of His glorious hand over your life. You will shine the presence of God in ways you could never have known standing in your own strength.

E. Expect your faith to be tested

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance” (James 1:2-3).

It’s not fun to have our faith tested. We find ourselves stretched beyond what we would’ve never believed before. We
recognize the risk of being disappointed and not understanding God’s plan for our lives. Yet when our faith is uncomfortably strained it makes us become people of perseverance. Our resiliency of faith in God will lead us to greater maturity.

P. Pray according to the word of
God

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

When our agenda is severely incapacitated, we have to respond rather than ignore the challenges ahead of us. It’s essential that we know and pray God’s word in order for our path to clear. In praying the Holy Scriptures
in unexpected agendas, our faith is restored and strengthened to follow the path the Lord has prepared for us.

T. Take in every day as a gift from
God to show His glory through you

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Every day we should wake up with a spirit of expectancy that God is preparing a glorious start to our day. This is a choice we make to say to God, “not my will, but Yours be done”.
This isn’t to say that we never make plans, but rather our plans are subject to God’s will for the day. As believers, we need to stay alert and prepared for God to show up in unexpected ways throughout the day.

This is the day!
“The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad” (Psalm 118:24).

Our joy is full and complete when we know that God is in control, making all things work for our good, hearing and answering our prayers according to His will, strengthening us in our weaknesses, growing us up in the
faith, and bringing fresh grace as well as mercy for each new day. We have hope in Christ for our lives to take the course which is best in Him.

Power Of Positive Thinking

There is power in positive thinking, but not as the world believes in—natural, earthly, and carnal ways
of getting our way. The power in positive thinking for the believer is rooted in what we believe about God
and His word.

How do believers attain the power of God for positive thinking? Philippians 4:8 gives us a clear
direction in how we can think positively:

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such
things”.

Thought #1) Think on things that are true

“Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful” (John 3:33).

We need to direct our minds to reflect on how God is always truthful and never lies. If He says, “I will never leave you” than we know we’re never alone. If He says, “I make all things work together for your good” than we can take comfort in our trials and tribulations. The power of God in our faith walk is most reflected when we think on the truthfulness of God.

Question to Ponder: How has God revealed truth to you?

Meditate on Psalm 145:18

Thought #2) Think on things that are noble

“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica” (Acts 17:11).
The nobility of the Bereans was demonstrated through their diligence in searching the scriptures.

A noble mind is open to exploring God’s word rather than clinging to man’s traditions. Believers who
think noble thoughts tend to resist the urge of prejudicial thinking about others. The power of God
generates an openness and approachable attitude about God’s word.

Question to Ponder: How can I train my mind towards noble thoughts?

Meditate on Colossians 3:2

Bible and Positive Thinking
The power in positive thinking for the believer is rooted in what we believe about God and His word.

Thought #3) Think on things that are right

“For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does” (Psalm 33:4).

We live in a world where the line between right and wrong is continually blurred. The word of God never backtracks on what is right. Meditating on God’s word on a regular basis equips a believer to live righteously. The power of God is most evident in believers who stand for what is right even in adversity.

Question to Ponder: How am I challenging myself every day in the meditation, memorization, and
application of God’s word?

Meditate on Psalms 1:1-3

Thought #4) Think on things that are pure

“The Lord detests the thoughts of the wicked, but gracious words are pure in his sight” (Proverbs 15:26).

Our spoken words spring out of the depths of our hearts. Christians can practice the discipline of keeping their hearts and minds pure by refusing to entertain uncleanness.

The power of God is revealed
through the lips of a pure heart that brings encouragement, exhortation, rebuke, or reproof to others in gentleness.

Question to Ponder: How do I actively protect my mind from impure thoughts?

Meditate on 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Thought #5) Think on things that are lovely

“You are as beautiful as Tirzah, my darling, as lovely as Jerusalem, as majestic as troops with banners” (Song of Solomon 6:4).

Sometimes when we’re assailed by the darkness, we need to train our minds to think on those things that
are lovely. Pleasant memories of the faithfulness of God encourages us to focus on the beauty of what life has to offer even in trials. The power of God prompts us to offer praises of thankfulness.

Question to Ponder: What am I thankful for on a regular basis?

Meditate on 1 Chronicles 16:34

Thought #6) Think on things that are admirable Saul and Jonathan—in life they were loved and admired, and in death they were not parted” (2 Samuel 1:23).

Saul and Jonathan were as different as night from day; yet both were admired in their day. Jesus is far
greater than these men and worthy of all our admiration. We can center our thoughts to feast on the goodness of Christ. The power of God opens up our minds to His great sacrifice and love that leads us into eternal life.

Question to Ponder: How does my life reflect my admiration for Jesus Christ?

Meditate on Revelation 4:11

Thought #7) Think on things that are excellent
“Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 3:13).

To focus on the excellence of grace can captivate our minds and release us from the perils of negative thinking. Grace gives us the strength to move forward when we want to give up. The power of God
activates our faith to think on the endless possibilities of grace through Christ.

Question to Ponder: How is grace been revealed in my life today?

Meditate on 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Thought #8) Think on things that are praiseworthy

“We will tell the next generation the
praiseworthy deeds of the Lord” (Psalm 78:4).
There’s none more worthy of praise than that of our Lord Jesus Christ. He took on the burden of our sins
so that we can live free. Reflecting on the goodness of God always results in praise to His name. The
power of God releases us from the depths of despair when we give ourselves over to thoughts of praise.

Question to Ponder: What can you praise God for today?

Meditate on Psalm 145:3

Power of Positive Thinking

The Bible clearly leads us in the direction of positive thinking in our Christian walk. As believers, we have the power of God to discipline our thinking. It takes effort to train the mind to lean towards hope in the midst of suffering; yet it’s worth it when the fruit of godliness springs up within your soul.

Why Would God Forgive Me?

Answers for Those That Feel Unforgivable

There are many people, both Christian and non- Christian who think that they are unforgivable.

They think that they have done something, or some things, so bad that God cannot, or will not, forgive
them. This belief leaves many in a state of despair; they feel guilty and desperately seek forgiveness, but they just do not think it is possible.

In this article, we will look at this issue and find that there is hope for even the vilest of sinners…not to mention you and me.

The Bible records that God saved the worst sinners The New Testament tells us that the apostle Paul, before he became responsible for writing much of the New Testament, was an intense persecutor of Christians. He tracked down believers, had them drug off to prison (both men and women), and had many put to death for following Jesus Christ (Acts 9:1, 13, 21; 22:4, 19; 26:10-11; 1 Corinthians 15:9; Galatians 1:13; Philippians 3:6; 1 Timothy 1:13). It would appear that, if any man deserved the judgment of God, Paul certainly did.

However, the biblical record shows us that Jesus Christ (following His death, burial, and resurrection)
appeared to Paul, whose name was Saul at the time, and asked, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” (Acts 9:4 ESV). Paul fell to his knees and replied, “Who are you, Lord?” to which Jesus said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting” (Acts 9:5 ESV). If we put ourselves in Paul’s place at that
moment, it is still difficult to imagine the guilt that he must have felt as he was confronted by Jesus’ holy presence. In his mind, Paul must have replayed every nasty thing that he had done to all those believers and the guilt he experienced was undoubtedly more than most people will ever experience. Paul surely felt unforgivable at that instance.

Nevertheless, Jesus powerfully saved Paul and used him to evangelize much of the ancient
world and write down much of what we now call the New Testament. Jesus can forgive and save us too.
It is true, we are not worthy of His forgiveness

He loves us enough to provide a way to forgive us Many people feel unworthy of God’s love. The truth
is that none of us are worthy of God’s forgiveness, “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together
they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one” (Romans 3:10-12 ESV). If it were not for
God’s loving call upon our hearts, we humans would be trapped, destined to live a sinful, selfish life
according to our own lusts and desires. It is only by God’s grace that any of us ever come to know Him. It is not because we are somehow worthy to be forgiven, but because He loves enough to provide a way to forgive us anyway.

God loves us and sent His Son to die for us Let us take a close look at one of the most famous passages in the Bible, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved
through him” (John 3:16-17 ESV).

For many, this passage has been heard so many times that they recite it without giving it the thought it is due.

What is this verse saying?

First, it is telling us that God, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, loves you and me. Think
about that! The great and holy God, Who made everything and keeps everything running, cares for little old you and me. I am not sure I understand why He loves us as He does, but the Bible says it is true,
so I believe it.

Secondly, God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on a cross to pay for our sins (John
1:29; Romans 5:8). It is the love of God that draws people to Him (1 John 4:9-10).

Thirdly, our part is to have faith in Jesus Christ; then we will have forgiveness from our sins and eternal life with God (Ephesians 2:4). Jesus came into the world to give us life; He did not come to judge us.

What about the “unforgivable sin”?

In Mark 3:28-30 and Luke 12:9-11 we read about a sin that is `unforgivable’. Many people believe that they have committed this sin and therefore cannot be forgiven. However, without going into a
theological discussion too lengthy for this article, the basic definition of the ‘unforgivable sin’ is simply
rejecting the truth of God, the truth of the Gospel, and the truth of Jesus Christ

Therefore, the only way a person can commit the ‘unforgivable sin’
is to continue rejecting Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior.

God can save anyone who is willing
Romans 3:26 tells us that we are justified, and forgiven, by putting our faith in Jesus, and Romans
10:9-10 tells us that we are saved, “…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved” (Romans 10:9-10 ESV).

If we confess our sins and place our faith in Christ as payment for the sins for which we are guilty, God
promises us forgiveness, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 ESV).

Conclusion

No one has sinned too much or too bad for God to save. God is powerful
enough to do anything He wants to do. He has promised us that He will save us if we will confess and repent of our sins, trust in Jesus Christ for our salvation, and live for Him. The biblical record shows us that God loves us and, through His Son, has made a way for us to be forgiven. The Bible also shows us that God saved the vilest perpetrator of evil upon believers, the apostle Paul, and used him in a mighty way to further His kingdom. There is nothing that any of us have ever done that will disqualify us from receiving the forgiveness and salvation that God offers as a free gift. My prayer is that you will trust Him with your life today.

Excuses Christians give for not sharing the Gospel

Welcome to this wonderful episode, I hope this write-up will be able to solve and help us out of some of these excuses we give as the redeemed of the Lord….enjoy!

Here are many reasons that people give for not being a witness for the Lord. However, many are just excuses. God has equipped us and commanded us to be witnesses of what He has done for us in our
lives.

Matthew 28:19, 20 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Following are 8 common excuses people give for not evangelizing those around them. I hope it is an encouragement to you to know that others struggle with many of the same things you do. And, that you will draw some strength from my answer to these
excuses.

1• They may ask a question I can’t answer

This is probably the biggest reason people give as to why they do not witness. And, it is true that the person you are witnessing to may ask a question that you don’t know the answer to. However, if they are interested in knowing about the Lord, then they are also probably willing to let you find the answer.
Sometimes people will ask questions that do nothing more than distract you from what you are trying to share. Don’t let those distractions keep you from the
point of the Gospel. You can handle questions that are irrelevant at the moment by saying, “
That is a
good question that I can answer after I get through sharing this with you.” You can even offer to write down the question so that you can come back to it Later. Most of the time I find that people didn’t really care about the answer, they were only looking for a way to throw you off track. If the question is a legitimate one and you don’t have the answer for them, ask them to let you find the answer and get back with them. This gives you a chance to study out the answer for yourself in the Bible and you have a reason to call on the person again. If you need help finding the answer, ask your pastor. He would certainly be glad to help you learn.

2• I’m scared

Scared of what? Do you think they are going to punch you? There are people who live in countries with real persecution. It is possible to lose your life trying to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with friends and family in those countries. But most of us do not live under that type of persecution. In fact,
because you are reading this website, you probably are given great religious freedom in your country to share the good new of the Gospel with those around you.

Pray and ask God for boldness. Paul asked for boldness in Ephesians 6:18-20. If Paul needed boldness and asked for it, I think God would be willing to grant it to you if you asked.

3• It is not my responsibility

If it isn’t your responsibility then whose is It? I know we think that evangelizing is part of the pastor’s job, and it is, but the Bible does not say, “some of you go into the world and preach the Gospel.” Jesus was speaking to the disciples and many others standing around when He told them to go and teach (Matthew 28:19, 20).
When Christ ascended into Heaven in Acts chapter 1, He told those present that they were being sent (Acts 1:8) to be witnesses. Christ did not pick out certain people to be His witnesses. He told everyone who was there that they would be witnesses for Him.

4• I don’t know how to witness

That is a valid excuse…for about a week. You may not know how right now, but you can certainly learn.
Ask your pastor to teach you. There are many books and online resources where you can learn to be an effective witness for the Lord.
One of the simplest ways to witness is to tell other people how you got saved and what Christ has done for you. If you understood the Gospel well enough to have accepted it, then you probably can do a great
job in explaining it to someone else.

5•. I don’t speak well

Moses used that excuse too in Exodus 4:10. He told God that he was not able to speak well. God’s reply was that He (God) had made Moses exactly like he was. God then said that Aaron could be Moses’ mouthpiece when speaking to Pharaoh. Interestingly, only once does the Bible say that Aaron spoke on Moses’ behalf. Moses apparently
overcame this supposed physical inability to speak for the Lord. I have known people with serious speech impediments who have been bold witnesses for the Lord. Don’t let lack of speaking ability keep you from sharing your faith.

6• I don’t know how to start a. conversation about the Lord

One of the easiest methods I know is to just ask a person what they believe about God. You get a
chance to hear what they have already formulated in their mind which will help you know what error they may already be believing.
One day while standing in a bookstore I struck up a casual conversation with another patron.
Immediately we found a common topic and spent 30 minutes talking about it. I felt like the Lord brought
that person to me so that I could share the Gospel with them. But I never turned the conversation to
the Lord. I continued on with the present conversation and walked away without even asking the person about their salvation. God brings that to mind often to help me remember that I can easily talk to strangers about many things; therefore, I know I can talk to them about the Lord. It is only an excuse to say that I don’t know how to start a conversation.

7•. I am afraid my friends will remember the bad things I have done. Or I don’t have a good testimony today

As far as your past is concerned, you can share about how God has changed your life. Use your former life as a testimony to what God can do in a person if they will give their life to Him. However, if you have a poor testimony before your friends today, then you need to get on your knees and ask the Lord to forgive you. Ask Him to show you what needs to be corrected and get the help you need from Him. Then ask Him to give you opportunities to make your testimony right before your friends.

8• I don’t have time

Yet you have time for TV, Facebook, akpos and hanging out with your friends on Friday night? I know you are probably very busy. Who of us isn’t? . Live a good testimony around others and share the Lord when you have small opportunities. When you have more time to spend with someone it will not be strange for them if you begin to share your faith. This can be done on a short ride to the store or from one job site to another. You may not be able to dedicate 2 hours weekly to a soul winning program at your church, but you do have time to share the greatest news with those around you.

One of my favorite verses is

Proverbs 28:1, “The
wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”
When you feel like you can’t witness to those around you, it may be because you are not living right. You feel like they are judging you and won’t listen when the truth is they want to know what you have and what makes you different. If you will live right and talk right then this verse says that you can become as bold as a lion ready to share your faith with those you meet.

    When GOD is Silent

    Welcome to this wonderful episode of when GOD is silent

    “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask
    him!” (Matthew 7:11).

    This verse tells us that God is
    ready to answer our prayers and supply our needs. So why are all our prayers not answered? Why does it seem that God sometimes does not hear us? What is going on when it seems like our prayers are not getting any higher than the ceiling?

    Right Motives (James 4:3)

    “You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions” (James 4:3).

    It is so important for the Christian to evaluate his or her life from time to time. Are our motives pure?

    Are we doing what we are doing for God’s glory, or our own? James tells us here that we must ask with the right motives. Sometimes we can ask for the right things, but for the wrong reasons. This could be the reason our prayers are not being answered.

    Not praying in the will of God (I John 5:14-15)

    “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he
    hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him“ (I John 5:14-15). It is so important to keep our relationship with God active and alive at all times. When we do so, we are more resistant to the temptations we face every day, and our prayer life will be focused on the
    things that God wants them focused on. Not only will we pray according to His will, we will structure our entire lives around Him.

    Sin In Our Lives

    “Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we
    receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him” (I John 3:21-22). It is amazing that so many professing
    Christians live their lives as if God was no more than a genie in a bottle to them. They willfully spend their
    time fulfilling their sinful desires and then pray to God when they want something from Him. This is a
    recipe for disaster. The Bible says that, “God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also
    reap” (Galatians 6:7). It is only a matter of time before the person living this way comes under the
    judgment of God. Even the Psalmist knew that God does not answer
    the prayers of one who is willfully sinning against Him. “If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the
    Lord would not have listened” (Psalm 66:18).
    Many times our prayers are not answered because we have unconfessed sin in our lives or we are still currently involved in some sin. Sin must be confessed and repented of before we can expect our prayers to be heard.

    Our Timing May Be Wrong

    God may indeed answer our requests in the exact manner we have submitted them to Him, but the answers may not come according to our schedule.

    God may even use delayed prayer to teach us patience. Nothing teaches patience like waiting. Our Prayers May Have Been Answered In A Way We Were Not Expecting and/or We Did Not Recognise God sees the big picture; we only see a small portion
    of that picture. We could actually be praying for something that would be harmful for us to get. It should be seen as encouraging when God does not answer our prayers exactly as we want, in the time frame we expect. This shows us that He is still in control and sovereignly overrides our expectations with His perfect will. Praying In Jesus’ Name
    “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son“ (John 14:13-14, also John 15:16, 16:23-24; Matthew 7:7).
    Too many people think that this means simply tacking the phrase, “In Jesus’ name” onto the end of their prayers. This is a shallow way of interpreting this verse and is an affront to the holiness of God. How can we think that simply by adding “In Jesus name” to the end of our prayer forces God into giving us what we want?

    Apologist Dave Hunt writes, “For a prayer to be truly “in the name of Jesus,” it must be as He would express it if He were praying. It must be for the furtherance of His interests and to His glory. His name must be stamped on the character and engraved on the heart and life of the one praying “in His name.”

    (Hunt, p. 191, emphasis his)
    Therefore, not only must one be praying in the will of Jesus [God], but one must also be living according to God’s will. An unholy life will not produce a holy prayer life. Nor will it produce effective prayers.

    Right Relationships Between.

    Husband And Wife Contribute To Fruitful Prayer For those who are married, even the relationship
    between a husband and wife affect the effectiveness of one’s prayer life. In the Epistle of First Peter, the
    apostle Peter instructs wives to be subject to their husbands (vv. 3:1-6), and husbands to likewise honour their wives (v. 7). The last phrase of verse seven says, “…so that your prayers may not be hindered”. This is a testament to how precious the
    union between husband and wife is to God. It is also very practical, since it is very difficult to keep your
    mind on the things of God when your married life is unsettled.
    The Example of the Apostle Paul
    Even the biblical saints were not immune from the occasional unanswered prayer. The apostle Paul writes, in II Corinthians 12, that he had some sort of problem that was given him to keep him from becoming conceited. Apparently, this ‘thorn in the flesh’ was something that Paul greatly wished to be rid of. He writes, “Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast
    all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (II Corinthians 12:8-10). Paul’s attitude is the attitude we should strive to exhibit. An attitude that says that, even if it seems that God is not answering our prayers, we can be content knowing that He will not let us down.

    Whether our prayers are answered to our satisfaction or not, we can always rest in the fact that God is in control. Christians must keep in mind this promise from God, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). We must trust God to know what is best for us and the situations for which we pray. We can take comfort in knowing that He loves us enough to have sent His Son to die on a cross for our sins.

    Grace means to get something that you do not deserve; unmerited favour. Mercy means you do not get a punishment that you deserve; compassion, forbearance. God is. abundant in grace and mercy and we can read about it in the Bible. His greatest act of grace is the gift of salvation that is available for all people through faith (Eph 2:8-9).

    When the gift is accepted, eternal life is promised to the recipient. This eternal life is a promise of a home one day in heaven with God.     What is Quiet time?

    Quiet time is a time we set aside to go to a private and quiet place to meet GOD via His Word and Prayer.

    REASONS FOR QUIET TIME
    1. Without GOD we can do nothing
    2. To dig out our inheritance via studying the word and via the Holy Spirit
    3. To follow the pattern and footstep of Christ
    4. When we study, we know the does and don’t of GOD
    5. Psalm 1:3 those that meditate on His word shall flourish like a tree along the river bank bearing luscious fruit without season
    6. The word of GOD becomes a manual, constitution to lead and direct our path
    7. Mathew 6 vs 6
    8. It helps us in our trials and temptations to show that victory is assured and given example of people who have passed through.
    9. To bring to consciousness that we have the same Authority as our lord Jesus Christ.

    HOW TO OBSERVE YOUR QUIET TIME
    1. Begin with a short prayer Psalm 119:18
    2. Sing few songs
    3. Study the Bible
    4. Check your life if the Word is actually pointing to a thing in your life
    5. Maintain a balance time between time spent in Studying & in Praying
    6. You are advice to use a study guide get different ones to avoid Monotony.

    Having become a new creature,you ask ‘WHAT’s NEXT? , yeah I’ve finally given my life to CHRIST where do I go from here…hmm, NEXT QUESTION you should ask is WHY did I give my life to this christ,is it just to make heaven,.NO! , To choose Christianity while filling your documents? NO!

    The reason why GOD drew you , is for a definite function & assignment HE has for you! Yes! GOD has a job He needs you to do and that’s what you should seek to know now..Jer. 29:11 ‘For I know the thoughts I think towards you ,thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end’ ..Notice thoughts of peace’ in that verse? That’s what you should pursue from now, my dear this is WHAT’s NEXT! God’s thought of peace for you! Also framed as PURPOSE.

    Now you can only access these ‘Thoughts’ during what we call ‘Quiet Time’, time alone with your Bible and Note Pad trusting God to bring all scriptures Alive to you uniquely which He has been waiting to do!

    Remember He wants to bring you to an ‘expected end’. That’s the destination of your life on earth! Daily as you sneak away with your bible, He longs to give you day to day directions,that will sum up to the real YOU, your true satisfaction lies in these daily directions! James 4:7

    NEW CREATURE

    2corinthians 5:17
    Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

    Am glad to inform you that once you have Accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour there is therefore NO sin left Uncleansed and the power of sin has been broken over you. Through the death of our lord Jesus Christ the power of my sinful nature is been shattered and nailed to the cross that our body is no longer slave to sin.

    Now that you are born of Christ look upon your old sinful nature as Dead and Unresponsive to sin and instead be alive to GOD through Christ Jesus.

    Therefore do not give in to your sinful desires do not let any part of your body become tool of wickedness but give it completely to GOD “because your body is the Temple of GOD”. Every part of you should be given to GOD for you are back from death and need to be tools in the house of GOD to be used for Good purposes because you are free under GOD’s Favour,Mercy & no longer enslaved to sin. Let the Spirit of GOD rule over your Life and you Dying to your flesh daily
